It is obvious that there are far more GILBY's out there than my own personal experiences led me to believe.

My own personal research has led me back to the villages of Steeple and Great Gidding in Huntingdonshire, England. This ancient county is now within the administrative boundaries of Cambridgeshire.
The source of this data has grown from my own research into my family history hosted with MyHeritage. At present (April 2020), there are many names that are neither GILBY nor married to a GILBY. Over the coming weeks, I will be removing these characters and importing non-related GILBY individuals that have been the subject of other research
In the long term, I intend for individuals in this database to either have the surname GILBY, have been born with the surname GILBY & subsequently married, or have married into the GILBY name. This database will NOT include the parents of non-GILBY wives or husbands.
